Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha held a number of bilateral meetings in Hong Kong during his visit and participation in the LEAP East conference, aimed at enhancing technical partnerships between the Kingdom and Hong Kong, expanding areas of partnership in artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, and developing the technical innovation ecosystem.

The meetings included a meeting with Hong Kong's Minister of Innovation, Technology and Industry, Sun Dong, to discuss prospects for cooperation in artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, and developing the technical innovation ecosystem between the two sides.

He also met with the Chairperson of the Board of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), Cordelia Cheng, to discuss opportunities for cooperation in empowering startups and developing national talent pathways in promising technical fields.

He also held a meeting with the CEO and Executive Chairman of SenseTime, Xu Li, to discuss advanced artificial intelligence applications and opportunities for their deployment in vital sectors, thereby enhancing technical innovation and opening new horizons for strategic partnerships in the digital economy.
