China announced the successful test of an experimental system to recover rocket propulsion units using a net connected to a maritime platform.

The rocket, model "Long March 10B", launched from a commercial spacecraft launch site in Hainan, southern China, according to "Al-Sharq".

According to Chinese media reports, the unit returned vertically and was recovered on a maritime platform 6 minutes after the separation of the propulsion unit and the upper propulsion stage.

The rocket sent its payload to the predetermined orbit on its maiden flight. After the separation of the first and second stages, the first stage returned and was successfully captured on a maritime platform via a net capture system, completing the launch and first-stage recovery successfully.

Technically, the rocket has a height of 63 meters and a diameter of 5 meters. Its thrust at liftoff is about 890 tons, while its mass at liftoff is about 760 tons. In its reusable configuration, its payload capacity to low Earth orbit is 16 tons.
