Google Launches Google Finance App for Android with AI Features
Google has launched its Google Finance app for Android devices, aiming to make its financial platform available on smartphones, while confirming that another version for iOS will arrive later this year.
The app allows users to follow real-time financial market data, access a live feed of economic news, and use an AI-powered search tool to analyze financial information. Google confirmed in an official statement that it will add more features available in the web version to the app in the coming months.
Alongside the launch of the Google Finance app, Google unveiled a new design for the web version after it exited the beta phase, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence technologies into the user experience.
The update includes an enhanced portfolio management feature, bringing all investments into a single dashboard that displays performance, asset allocation, and analytics.
Users can create their portfolios by uploading CSV or PDF files containing asset details, or simply describe their holdings to the smart assistant.
Smart Assistant for Investment Analysis
The integrated chatbot in Google Finance can now access investment portfolio data and answer related questions, as well as perform automated tasks to fetch data on demand.
Google says users can, for example, request a daily briefing before market open that includes an analysis of major cryptocurrency movements overnight, as well as receive instant updates on investment assets.
As the use of artificial intelligence expands within the platform, Google stresses that these technologies may make mistakes, urging users to independently verify financial data and consult a licensed financial advisor before making any investment decisions.
The company added that the information and analysis provided by Google Finance are for informational purposes only and are based on aggregated data from external sources.
