Huawei continues to push the boundaries of innovation in the foldable phone market, currently developing a 'small and luxurious' flagship phone, according to the latest leaks on Chinese tech platforms.

Information indicates that the new device will be part of Huawei's foldable series, which not only includes dual or triple-screen designs but also aims to offer a distinctive experience in a small size suitable for daily use, with notable improvements to the cover screen to make the phone more valuable at purchase.

Huawei plans to launch a small, 'wide' foldable phone next year.

Although the launch date has not been confirmed yet, leaks expect this model to arrive alongside new devices from the Mate series during an upcoming event in September.

Huawei, along with market competitors, is focusing on developing small foldable phones with wide screens and advanced hinges to compete with devices like the Pura X Max.

According to leaks, the company is also working on introducing the Mate XT 2 with an innovative triple-folding technology that uses a U-shaped bending mechanism to protect the screens, instead of the traditional Z-shaped concept.
