Apple unveiled the new iPhone 12 series last Tuesday, which comes with support for fast wireless charging at 15W in its latest models, but exclusively with its new MagSafe wireless charger or third-party chargers authorized by the company with its new trademark.

The company had unveiled its MagSafe wireless charger during the conference, noting a new feature involving the charger's quick attachment to the iPhone to ensure fast wireless charging.

However, the iPhone maker did not clearly indicate that MagSafe is the only one integrated with the iPhone and that other standard wireless chargers cannot deliver the same fast charging power of 15W.

This was more evident in the iPhone 12 specifications list, which stated that wireless charging power with the company's charger is 15W, while other wireless chargers deliver 7.5W, noting that iPhone models starting from iPhone 8 came with standard wireless charging support but did not offer fast charging at 15W until the company announced MagSafe.

This leads us to question whether it is due to a technical issue, as previously announced by the company when it discontinued the AirPower wireless charger, or whether it relates to a unique addition in the new version of the charger that enabled this feature.

In any case, taking advantage of the fast charging feature on iPhone 12 is limited to purchasing and using Apple's MagSafe, which is available on the company's online store for $39.
