Microsoft and Accenture have issued a joint report titled: "Securing Nations in the Smart Economy: Turning Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing Challenges into Strategic Advantage," highlighting the qualitative progress made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in building an integrated national data and AI ecosystem, solidifying its position among the world’s leading countries in this field.

The report dedicated significant attention to the SDAIA experience, pointing to its pivotal role in leading the national data and AI ecosystem, and its achievements in developing national policies, enhancing digital infrastructure, enabling innovation, and building strategic partnerships with major global technology companies, in line with the goals of Vision 2030.

The report affirmed that the Kingdom has adopted an integrated approach to accelerate AI adoption, based on developing national enablers, cultivating human talent, localizing advanced technologies, and strengthening public-private collaboration, which has contributed to building an environment supportive of innovation and a driver of economic competitiveness.

The report reviewed the National AI Indicator developed by SDAIA as a pioneering tool for measuring the readiness of government entities to adopt AI technologies and monitoring the maturity level of their applications. The indicator relies on a comprehensive scientific framework comprising 3 main pillars, 7 dimensions, and 23 sub-criteria, enabling a holistic assessment that supports decision-making and enhances the efficiency of implementing national initiatives.

The report concluded that the Kingdom's experience reflects a clear strategic vision for building a data-driven smart economy through investment in digital infrastructure, developing regulatory frameworks, and empowering national talents, thereby strengthening the Kingdom's position as a global hub for emerging technologies and an active partner in shaping the future of AI.
