Microsoft's cloud gaming service reaches Xbox Series X|S consoles
After reaching users on various platforms, it's time for Microsoft's cloud gaming service xCloud to arrive on Xbox consoles this year. The company announced its intention to launch the service for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One users during this holiday.
Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on Xbox consoles will be able to experience over 100 games directly via the cloud service and enjoy a different way to play.
This announcement comes on the heels of Gamescom 2021, where the company and partner studios announced dozens of upcoming and anticipated games, along with improvements and updates to previous titles. Notably, Forza Horizon will arrive on November 9, while games like Age of Empires will receive new narrative elements and events in future releases.
Microsoft also announced the Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update VI, scheduled for release on September 7, which will cover Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, along with the new Junkers JU-52 aircraft and the VoloCity Air Taxi, launching in November, and a partnership with the Reno Air Racing Association (RARA).
The event also saw 505 Games and Point Blank Games announce their collaboration on a game called Stray Blade for Xbox Series X|S, to be released in 2022.
On the same front, The Gunk is expected to be the first 3D project from the team behind the SteamWorld series, offering an unprecedented cinematic experience with a sci-fi story.
