The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monshaat) celebrated the conclusion of the 'Education and Evaluation Technologies Hackathon' at the Enterprise Support Center in Riyadh, in partnership with the Education and Training Evaluation Authority, the National Center for E-Learning, and Tatweer Education Holding Company, aiming to develop advanced educational solutions, enhance innovation and entrepreneurship in this field, in addition to supporting investment and market access. The hackathon was organized to enable entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises to provide innovative technical solutions in the field of artificial intelligence for the education sector, and it gives participants the opportunity to transform their ideas into viable prototypes with commercial growth potential, meeting the needs of the education sector and contributing to the development of its outcomes. The hackathon saw the participation of 197 participants, including school and university students, teachers and experts in the education sector, entrepreneurs, as well as small and medium enterprises in the education technology sector, and 35 projects competed across diverse tracks including digital teacher, assessment and analysis tools, school management solutions, language learning, enabling universal access for people with disabilities, simulation-based education, and smart monitoring. The closing ceremony included a showcase of the most prominent graduating projects and recognition of partners and winners. The list of participating projects included an integrated system that combines artificial intelligence and robotics to enable the blind to interact with the educational process independently, and a platform for creating customized video games for students in line with the curricula.

The list also included a platform that provides more than 12,000 interactive lessons aligned with the national curriculum to provide immediate academic support, and a platform dedicated to correcting exams, analyzing their results, and converting them into actionable support decisions that can be implemented and followed up, in addition to the first Arabic-language customizable Learning Management System (LMS) platform to serve the blind, special education categories, and support their integration into schools. Monshaat seeks to provide support programs for emerging technology companies and the education and evaluation sector, contributing to enabling male and female entrepreneurs to grow and sustain, and supporting the national economy to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
