Huawei has revealed a clear design change in the upcoming MatePad Air 2026, set to launch on July 14, after an official preview highlighting design differences compared to last year's model.

The MatePad Air 2025 featured an elegant design in four colors: pink, mixed green, white, and dark gray.

The device came with slim bezels, a flat front face, and a lightweight body, with a protruding camera module in a horizontal design similar to the Nova 12 Ultra phones, where the lenses appear as a wide capsule with a main ring and a secondary ring next to it.

In the MatePad Air 2026, Huawei offers a modified camera module with a camera ring and flash light inside a prominent frame matching the back cover color, giving the device a more luxurious and distinctive appearance.

There is also a difference in the color palette compared to the previous generation, but full details about the internal specifications have not been announced yet, pending the official launch at Huawei's upcoming event, where it will also announce the Pura 90s series and a number of new accessories.
