OnePlus has launched its new OnePlus N6 with a massive 8,000 mAh battery starting at just around $243.

The biggest bet of this phone is battery life, as the company promises three days of continuous use, along with the best cooling system in its class and a seven-year battery health guarantee.

Giant Battery and Practical Charging Experience

The 8,000 mAh capacity gives the phone the ability to last up to three days of normal use. The phone supports 45W fast charging, and can also charge other devices via cable at 5W, acting as a power bank for small devices.

Enhanced Cooling to Maintain Performance

OnePlus equipped the phone with a 5,300 mm² cooling system, the largest among all budget phones to date. The system's primary function is not only to cool the modest processor but also to ensure the safety of the large battery in the long term.

Notable Compromises to Keep the Price Down

To achieve this price with this battery, OnePlus made some compromises:

Display: 6.8-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution (720×1570 pixels), 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 1,200 nits.

Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex (6nm), with 4 or 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage (expandable).

Cameras: 50MP main rear and 8MP front with dual recording support and wide-angle.

Weight and size: 224 grams and 8.9mm thickness.

The device comes with IP65 dust and water resistance and US military standard MIL-STD-810H, to withstand harsh daily conditions without being fully submersible.

Price and Availability

4/128GB: ₹22,999 (~$243)

6/128GB: ₹24,999 (~$264)

The device is currently available in Fresh Mint and Midnight Green colors only in the Indian market, with no official information yet on international release.
