OpenAI Launches Smart Keyboard for Developers
OpenAI has launched the Codex Micro keyboard, dedicated to the Codex intelligent programming platform, aiming to provide quick shortcuts for developers through a compact design featuring only 12 keys, plus a joystick and a rotary knob, at a price of $230.
It supports connectivity via Bluetooth and USB-C and works on Windows and Mac.
The keyboard enables instant commands such as voice dictation, accepting edits, and starting conversations, with the ability to customize the joystick and knob to adjust the model's performance level between speed and output quality.
The device was developed in collaboration with Work Louder, supports connectivity via Bluetooth and USB-C, works on Windows and Mac, with the ability to reprogram the keys and includes 32 extra keycaps.
The Codex Micro is the first physical product launched by OpenAI, as the company works on developing new smart devices, including a speaker under development, amid a legal dispute with Apple over allegations of stealing trade secrets.
