Samsung announced the global launch of its new Galaxy A27 5G, succeeding the Galaxy A26 5G in the mid-range segment, with improvements including performance, display, and cameras, in addition to Samsung's commitment to providing up to six years of OS and security updates.
The phone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1400 nits, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.
The Galaxy A27 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor built on a 4nm process, with an Adreno 710 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage, and support for microSD cards up to 2TB.
The phone runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5, and Samsung confirmed it will provide up to six major Android and One UI updates, along with six years of security updates. It also features Samsung Knox and Knox Vault for protecting sensitive data.
For photography, the phone features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera, while the front camera is 12MP.
The phone has a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and IP64 dust and water resistance. It measures 7.8mm thick and weighs approximately 200 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G starts at $350 or €350, and will be available in black, blue, light green, and light pink. It will hit markets starting next July.
