NCM: Dust and Near-Zero Visibility Today; Thunderstorms in 4 Regions

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecast Wednesday that active winds raising dust and sand will continue in parts of Makkah, Madinah, Hail, Al-Qassim, Riyadh, Najran, and the coastal road to Jazan, causing near-zero visibility, while the chance remains for thunderstorms and active winds in Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and the southern highlands of Makkah.

The NCM warned of the continued impact of active winds causing dust and sand, on Wednesday, in parts of Makkah, Madinah, Hail, Al-Qassim, Riyadh, Najran, and the coastal road leading to Jazan, cautioning that these winds may lead to near-zero horizontal visibility, and their effects also extend to parts of the Eastern Region.

The center added that the chance remains for thunderstorms accompanied by active winds in parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and the southern parts of the Makkah highlands.

Regarding sea conditions, the center indicated that surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 20 to 40 km/h.
