Devastating floods swept areas around the Black River in southeastern Missouri, where heavy rains of 15 to 30 centimeters fell from Thursday night until Friday dawn. Steve Chitwood, emergency coordinator for Reynolds County, told CNN that about ten people were rescued from the roof of a building.
