The United Nations integrated food security classification (IPC) warned that more than 1.4 million people in Gaza still suffer from acute food insecurity, particularly in areas near the Israeli military border, where humanitarian access is difficult. Among them, 212,000 are in emergency phase, and 1,000 children need treatment for severe acute malnutrition in the coming year.
FAO, UNICEF, and the World Food Program called for continued flow of aid through all crossings, expansion of commercial movement, entry of shelter materials, fuel, and agricultural inputs, and provision of urgent funding to prevent the deterioration of humanitarian conditions and support food security, health, safe drinking water, and livelihoods.
