Under the patronage of His Excellency President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Chairman of the Assembly of Muslim Scholars, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa participated via a televised address in the opening session of the First International Islamic Forum 'Islamic Civilization: The Path of Peace, Tolerance and Enlightenment' in the Uzbek capital Tashkent.

The forum, organized by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, witnessed the presence of about 300 speakers from 40 countries around the world. In his speech, His Eminence touched on Uzbekistan's civilizational status in Islamic history and the scholarly and civilizational legacy represented by the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara, noting Bukhara's connection to the Commander of the Faithful in Hadith, the Sheikh of the Sunnah and its guardian, and the Imam of the Memorizers, Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him).

His Eminence pointed out that Islamic civilization was founded on knowledge and values, contributed to building human knowledge, and left a deep-rooted legacy in legislation, thought, and ethics, emphasizing that the nation's responsibility today lies in drawing inspiration from this civilizational legacy and activating it in its contemporary reality through knowledge and action within the framework of Islamic values. His Eminence noted the opening of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, as one of the largest civilizational and educational landmarks in the Islamic world, and also commended the opening of the Imam al-Bukhari Memorial Complex in Samarkand and its research efforts in serving the scholarly heritage of Imam al-Bukhari, Imam al-Tirmidhi, and Imam al-Maturidi, praising in the same context the efforts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in reviving Islamic, scientific, and cultural heritage and introducing it globally.
