Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said that the "NATO 3.0" vision, which will set new standards for the global security system, aims to strengthen Europe's role in defense, and Turkey plays a pivotal role in this transformation thanks to its intellectual and military capabilities.

He made the remarks in a post on his X account on Wednesday regarding the 36th summit of heads of state and government of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the Turkish capital Ankara.

Duran stressed that Turkish foreign policy, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has transcended the role of a regional actor to become one of the influential forces in the global system.

He added that the clearest manifestations of this strategic status and international respect Turkey has gained were evident during Ankara's hosting of the 36th NATO summit.

Duran explained that the "NATO 3.0" vision, which will draw the new standards for the global security architecture, aims to bolster Europe's weight in defense, while Turkey is positioned at the heart of this transformation and plays an active role thanks to its intellectual and military capabilities.

He added that Turkey, in parallel with strengthening its defense industries, continues to act as the voice of the global conscience to establish calm in Gaza and Lebanon, and calls on all parties to shoulder their responsibilities.

Duran emphasized that the will manifested in Ankara during the summit once again consecrated Turkey's influential status in global diplomacy and its determination to contribute to building a more just world order.

Duran also accompanied his post with scenes from the summit sessions.
