Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan:

Turkey is not just a host country but a pivotal ally that directly contributes to the alliance's defensive, diplomatic, and crisis-resolution capabilities.

The two-day "Ankara Summit" demonstrated that Turkey is an actor directing NATO's security agenda.

Turkey is one of the strongest actors in NATO thanks to its military capabilities and strategic location.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the NATO summit hosted by the capital Ankara once again demonstrated Turkey's pivotal role in the international security structure.

This came in a post on the US-based platform X on Thursday evening.

President Erdogan said: "Turkey is not just a host country but a pivotal ally that directly contributes to the alliance's defensive, diplomatic, and crisis-resolution capabilities."

He noted that "NATO Vision 3.0" aims to strengthen Europe's defense capabilities and ensure the alliance adapts more preparedly to the new phase.

He affirmed that "Turkey is one of the strongest actors in NATO thanks to its military capabilities, strategic location, diplomatic expertise, and defense industry potential."

Regarding his meeting with his US counterpart Donald Trump, President Erdogan said: "I believe it will yield concrete results in line with our country's aspirations in the defense industry, especially regarding the F-35 and Kaan (fighter jet) programs."

On Ankara's role in international events, Erdogan said: "While Turkey keeps communication channels open between Russia and Ukraine, it continues to defend diplomacy and peace in the crisis between Iran and the United States."

He stressed that Turkey continues to defend its approach based on ceasefire, stability, and multilateral cooperation in the files of Gaza, Lebanon, and Libya.
