A second earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale struck off Mexico's Pacific coast on Friday, following an initial earthquake of 7.3 magnitude.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the new earthquake, with a magnitude of 5.3, occurred 93 kilometers southwest of the Puerto Madero area in Mexico.

The center stated that the earthquake, which occurred off the Pacific coast, was at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Earlier on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey had announced a 7.3 magnitude earthquake off Mexico's Pacific coast at a depth of 15.2 kilometers.

No immediate reports of casualties or damage from the two earthquakes were received.
