Gaza: 9 Killed, Including Two Children, in Israeli Strikes
Health officials reported that Israeli airstrikes killed at least nine Palestinians, including two children aged ten and six, on Wednesday in the Gaza Strip, according to Reuters.
Medics said an Israeli airstrike killed a person near a school in Gaza City. The Israeli military said it carried out an attack on militants in Gaza City but was not aware of any casualties.
Another Israeli airstrike hit a tent for displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, killing at least four people, including a 10-year-old child.
Palestinian health officials later said a six-year-old boy was killed by Israeli fire in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City. Medics reported that the Israeli military launched two more strikes on areas of Gaza City, killing three and wounding others, raising the day's death toll to at least nine. The Israeli military has not yet commented on any of these incidents.

Israel has carried out repeated strikes on Gaza since reaching a ceasefire with Hamas under U.S. mediation last October, saying it targets militants who threaten its forces or participated in the attack on Israel in October 2023.
Hamas accuses Israel of violating the ceasefire. Nikolai Mladenov, the Peace Council's envoy to Gaza, said both sides are violating the agreement. U.S. President Donald Trump formed the Peace Council.
Since the ceasefire took effect nine months ago, statistics from both sides indicate that more than 1,080 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, most of them civilians, while four Israeli soldiers have been killed. Hamas does not disclose the number of its own dead.
