A joint statement was issued at the conclusion of the visit of Canadian Prime Minister Mr. Mark Carney to the Kingdom, the text of which follows:

By a gracious invitation from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Canada, the Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Mark Carney, paid an (official) visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from (23-25) Muharram 1448 AH, corresponding to (8-10) July 2026. His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received the Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Mark Carney, at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah. They held an official meeting session, during which they reviewed the historical relations between the two friendly countries, spanning more than five decades, during which ties have deepened, bilateral relations have become firmly established, and have witnessed positive development in various fields. The two leaders affirmed their keenness to strengthen bilateral relations, identify clear priorities to enhance joint cooperation, and ensure its sustainability in many areas including trade, investment, innovation, multilateral forums, and regional security, within the context of the significant momentum that relations have witnessed recently, and in a way that meets the common commitment to achieving tangible results that support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Canadian growth agenda.
