The Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) reported in a statement carried by local channel TOLOnews on Monday that the city of Parun in the province was hit by flash floods caused by heavy rainfall.

The statement said the initial toll reached 20 deaths and more than 80 injured, noting that concerns are growing over the fate of more than 100 missing people swept away by the waters.
