Nigerian security forces freed dozens of students and teachers who were abducted during an attack in the southwest of the country last May, according to an announcement by Nigerian President Bola Tinubu yesterday.
Tinubu said in a statement that a joint operation by army, police and intelligence units resulted in the release of the abductees in the Oriri area of Ogbomosho city in Oyo State, neutralized a number of the attackers, and arrested eight others.
