Bahrain Welcomes Start of Procedures to Remove Syria's Designation as State Sponsor of Terrorism

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's welcome of US President Donald Trump's announcement to begin procedures to remove the Syrian Arab Republic from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, considering it an important step toward supporting
efforts to rebuild Syria, enhancing opportunities to attract foreign investments and aid, and reintegrating it into the global financial and economic systems.
According to the Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirms the Kingdom of Bahrain's firm and supportive stance towards Syria's security, stability, unity, and territorial integrity, in a way that fulfills the aspirations of its people for security, stability, and sustainable prosperity, and restores its active role in its Arab and international surroundings.
