Bulgaria condemned the recent threats made by the terrorist Houthi militia against commercial navigation in the Red Sea, reaffirming its firm solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a statement: "The announcement of an intention to impose a naval blockade on the Bab el-Mandeb Strait constitutes an unacceptable escalation, as it entails serious risks of expanding the scope of the conflict, threatening regional security, international trade, and the global economy."
