On Monday evening, Daniel Siad, a model scout accused of luring women for American Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sex crimes against minors, was found dead in his home near Paris, according to the Nanterre public prosecutor's office on Wednesday, confirming information reported by the French newspaper Le Parisien.

The prosecutor's office said that 'an investigation to determine the cause of death was opened on Monday evening after the discovery' of his body in his home in the city of Colombes, west of Paris.

Siad had been the subject of several complaints, notably for rape, and was under investigation in Paris by the office specialized in combating human trafficking. He denied the allegations, according to the Agence France-Presse.

Siad's name appeared in more than a thousand documents published as part of Epstein's declassified files. He likened his efforts to lure women to hunting.

In 2014, Siad wrote to Epstein: 'In this work, I sometimes feel like a hunter, sometimes I catch quickly, sometimes I don't find fish.'

Siad maintained that the American convicted of sex crimes 'exploited his trust.'

In 2020, French authorities arrested model agent Jean-Luc Brunel after accusations of recruiting women for the American billionaire. He was found dead in prison in 2022.

Epstein died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
