Iran: US Strikes Thwarted All Diplomatic Efforts
Iran strongly condemned late Sunday the latest US strikes on its territory, accusing Washington of aborting all diplomatic efforts made in recent months to reduce tensions in the region, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Tehran also accused the United States of flagrantly violating all terms of the memorandum of understanding signed in June, and causing the return of insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz and disrupting international commercial navigation, according to the statement.
New wave of strikes. The US Army announced late Sunday that it had begun a new wave of strikes against Iran, stating that it aims to undermine Tehran's ability to attack commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The US Central Command said in a statement that its forces began at 21:00 GMT launching more strikes against Iran to continue undermining its ability to attack civilian sailors and commercial vessels freely transiting the Strait of Hormuz. It added that Trump ordered these strikes to hold Iranian forces accountable.

It also noted that explosions were heard in Bushehr province, and explosions in Qeshm and Jask. Additionally, several explosions were heard in Sirik and Bandar Abbas.
