Iran: Washington's intervention in Strait of Hormuz threatens global oil supplies
Iran's Revolutionary Guard said on Monday that US intervention in the Strait of Hormuz poses a threat to the security of global oil and gas supplies, amid mutual strikes between the two sides and escalating tension over the vital waterway.
Revolutionary Guard spokesman Hossein Mohbi said in a post on X platform that the United States, through its intervention in the Strait of Hormuz, 'seriously threatens the security of global energy supplies and must bear responsibility for that,' stressing that Iran will continue to exercise its sovereignty and manage the strait.

In the same context, US President Donald Trump said on Monday that the United States is 'in the process of taking control' of the Strait of Hormuz.
