The Israeli army released on Tuesday three Lebanese youths after hours of detention in the outskirts of the border town of Shebaa in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese National News Agency said that "the Israeli occupation forces released this evening the three Lebanese youths whom they had detained for hours in the outskirts of Shebaa, and led them to an unknown destination."

It added that those released were Mohamed Hassan Moussa Hashem, Rabee Zahra, and Khader Naba'a.

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli army on the circumstances of the youths' detention.

Earlier on Tuesday, the agency reported that Israeli forces had detained the three youths in the outskirts of Shebaa before leading them to an unknown destination, with the reasons for their detention unclear at the time.

This comes within the framework of ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, despite the start of implementation of pilot areas in southern Lebanon under the framework agreement.

The Israeli army continued its violations of the agreement by carrying out a series of large explosions in various areas of southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese National News Agency.

On June 26, Beirut and Tel Aviv signed a 'framework agreement' under US sponsorship aimed at ending the war on Lebanon and the withdrawal of the Israeli army.

Since March 2, 2026, Israel has continued its aggression against Lebanon, resulting in 4,328 deaths and 12,230 injuries, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

Israel occupies areas in southern Lebanon, some for decades and others since the clashes between 2023 and 2024, and has advanced more than 10 kilometers into Lebanese territory during the current aggression.
