The Kingdom expressed its strongest condemnation and denunciation of the cowardly terrorist attack on the Syrian capital Damascus, which injured a number of security personnel and civilians while they were attempting to defuse two explosive devices planted by a terrorist cell in the capital.

In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today (Tuesday), the Kingdom reiterated its absolute rejection of all terrorist and extremist acts that aim to undermine the security and stability of Syria and its brotherly people.

Saudi Arabia expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the injured, and to the government and people of brotherly Syria, for this grievous affliction, with wishes for lasting security and safety for Syria and its brotherly people.

Earlier this morning, the "Syrian Interior Ministry" reported two explosions near the Ministry of Tourism building in the capital Damascus, resulting in 18 injuries, including four police personnel.
