Kuwait expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian targeting of a Saudi tanker while it was crossing the Strait of Hormuz, and what that represents as a serious violation of international law and a threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation and the stability of global energy supplies.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated, in a statement, Kuwait's firm and supportive stance for the security and stability of Saudi Arabia and its rejection of any aggression that affects its security or jeopardizes its interests and resources. It also called for an immediate cessation of these Iranian aggressions and for prioritizing the path of de-escalation and respecting international law and freedom of maritime navigation in a way that preserves the security of the region and the stability of its vital corridors.
