The Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen conducted a limited ministerial reshuffle today in the government of Prime Minister Dr. Sha'if Al-Zandani, which included the Ministries of Planning and International Cooperation, Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Local Administration.

The republican decree, issued with the approval of the Presidential Leadership Council and based on a proposal from the Prime Minister, appointed Engineer Badr Mohammed Mubarak Baslama as Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zuba as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Dr. Ahd Mohammed Salem Jassous as Minister of Local Administration.

Republican Decree

The decree clarified that it was based on the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen, the Gulf Cooperation Council initiative and its executive mechanism, the decision to transfer power and form the Presidential Leadership Council issued on April 7, 2022, in addition to the Law of the Council of Ministers and the republican decree regarding the formation of the government and the naming of its members.

The decree confirmed that the ministerial reshuffle would take effect from the date of its issuance, with publication in the official gazette.
