Officials reported at least 27 people killed after a fire broke out in a bar in Bangkok, Thailand, early Monday.

Video footage showed huge flames erupting from the front door as people tried to flee to save their lives.

Firefighters took about half an hour to bring the fire under control, but the damage was already severe.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
