Ministry of Islamic Affairs Launches First Sharia Course to Qualify Imams in the Maldives
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, represented by the Religious Attaché at the Saudi embassy in India, organized the first Sharia training course of the year for imams, preachers, and muezzins in Malé, Maldives, in cooperation with the Maldivian Ministry of Islamic Affairs, with over 120 participants over three days.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attaché at the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Republic of India, organized on Saturday the first Sharia scientific course of this year to qualify imams, preachers, and muezzins in the Maldivian capital, Malé.
The course is held in cooperation with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs of the Republic of Maldives in the lecture hall of the Islamic Center in Malé, and lasts for three days, with participation of more than 120 imams, preachers, muezzins, students of knowledge, and those interested in Islamic affairs.
The course is presented by Dr. Abdulmajeed Mohammed Al-Asaker, and covers a set of scientific and Sharia topics aimed at enhancing the scientific qualification of participants, providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their da'wah mission, according to the moderate, centrist Islamic approach based on the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger, peace be upon him.
This course is the sixth that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has implemented in the Republic of Maldives in past years, as part of a series of scientific courses and qualification programs it organizes in a number of countries around the world, in cooperation with the embassies of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and official Islamic bodies, with the aim of spreading Sharia knowledge, raising the level of imams, preachers, and muezzins, and enhancing their role in spreading the tolerant values of Islam and consolidating the approach of moderation and centrism.
These programs come as an extension of the efforts of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance to serve Islamic work and spread the approach of moderation and centrism outside the Kingdom, under the attention and supervision of the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdulatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, reflecting the Kingdom's message in serving Muslims around the world.
