Kyiv, July 19 (QNA) - Ukrainian authorities announced today that one person was killed and 16 others injured in a Russian attack on the capital Kyiv, which involved the use of ballistic missiles. The Ukrainian Air Force said that Russia launched 41 missiles and 125 attack drones targeting various regions of Ukraine last night, including 25 ballistic missiles, while Ukrainian forces intercepted and shot down 108 drones and 18 missiles. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said most of the missiles targeted the capital. Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the strikes caused fires in five areas of the city, damaging residential buildings, offices, industrial sites, a student dormitory, and vehicles. The Russia-Ukraine war continues to escalate with mutual attacks, with Ukraine intensifying long-range strikes on targets inside Russian territory in recent months, while Russia continues to launch missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, especially the capital Kyiv.
