Name 'Muhammad' retains top spot among baby boy names in England and Wales

The British Office for National Statistics reported on Thursday that the name 'Muhammad' maintained its top spot as the most popular name for baby boys in England and Wales for the third consecutive year.
The office stated in a statement that 5,957 baby boys were named 'Muhammad' in 2025, an increase of 4 percent compared to the previous year.
It added that the name 'Noah' came in second place among the most popular boy names, followed by 'Leo' in third place.
Regarding girl names, the statement said that the name 'Olivia' topped the list with 2,386 newborns, maintaining the first place for the tenth consecutive year.
The statement indicated that the name 'Lily' came second, while the name 'Amelia' came third among baby girl names.
