The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the European Union renewed their commitment to continue providing political, military and financial support to Ukraine, during the leaders' summit of the 'Coalition of the Willing' on Ukraine in the French capital Paris.
In a post on the American platform 'X' on Monday, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stressed that strong support for Ukraine will remain a priority for NATO.
For his part, European Council President Antonio Costa said on platform 'X' that the Paris meeting was important and came at an appropriate time to advance support for Ukraine.
He affirmed that the European Union, with all its members, agrees on the strategy of 'peace through strength'.
He explained that this strategy is based on increasing support for Ukraine, increasing pressure on Russia, and moving forward towards achieving a just and lasting peace.
For her part, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the signing of an agreement between the European Union and the UK that allows London to join the 90 billion euro loan program to support Ukraine.
Von der Leyen explained that the agreement will give Ukraine access to a wider network of defense equipment suppliers, which will contribute to meeting Kyiv's needs on the battlefield.
The 'Coalition of the Willing' is an international formation announced on the initiative of Britain and France following a summit held in London in March 2025, bringing together European leaders and representatives of international organizations to discuss mechanisms for strengthening peace in Ukraine.
The coalition includes more than 30 members, with European countries forming the majority. Since its founding, Turkey has participated in the coalition's activities, and it is expected to lead activities related to the maritime domain in the next phase, if the necessary legal and political frameworks are completed and approved.
Since February 24, 2022, Russia has been waging a military attack on its neighbor Ukraine, demanding as a condition for its end that Kyiv abandon joining Western military entities, which Kyiv considers 'interference' in its affairs.
