Bloomberg reported that navigation in the Strait of Hormuz has come to a near standstill since Thursday morning, coinciding with the second consecutive day of US airstrikes on Iran, raising concerns about the security of one of the world's most vital energy shipping lanes.

According to vessel tracking data, most recorded maritime movements were concentrated on the Iranian-side navigational channel near the northern part of the strait, while the US-backed Omani shipping lane appeared quiet with a noticeable decline in vessel traffic.
