- Axios quoted a White House official as saying that there is no meeting with Netanyahu on Trump's agenda so far

- The postponement of the visit comes amid a disagreement, as Trump wants Israel to withdraw from Lebanon and Syria, which Netanyahu refuses

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled his visit to the United States next week.

His office said in a statement: "It appears that the funeral ceremony for Senator Lindsey Graham will be postponed until the end of the month."

It added: "Therefore, the Prime Minister will not travel to the United States next week."

On Wednesday, Israeli media, including the official broadcasting authority, reported that Netanyahu would leave for Washington on Saturday, meet US President Donald Trump on Monday, and attend Graham's funeral on Tuesday.

However, the US news site Axios quoted a senior White House official, who was not named, on Wednesday evening as saying that "so far, there is no meeting with Netanyahu on Trump's agenda next week."

Despite the extensive US support for Israel, there is currently a disagreement between them, as Trump wants Israel to withdraw from Lebanon and Syria, which Netanyahu refuses.
