Omani Foreign Ministry Summons Iranian Ambassador, Hands Protest Note Over Drone Attacks
The Sultanate of Oman summoned the Iranian ambassador in Muscat and handed him an official protest note regarding attacks on sites in the governorates of Musandam and Al Wusta by drones.
According to the Omani Foreign Ministry, Sheikh Khalid bin Hashel Al Musalhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs, summoned Musa Farhang, the accredited ambassador of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman, to hand him a protest note concerning attacks on sites in the governorates of Musandam and Al Wusta by drones.
The Omani Foreign Ministry expressed its displeasure at these acts, describing them as irresponsible, and affirmed the need to adhere to the provisions of state sovereignty, the principles of good neighborliness, non-interference in internal affairs, and respect for the norms and moral values that bind the Sultanate of Oman and Iran as two neighboring countries and peoples.
