Iranian state media reported the death of an employee of a telecommunications company in attacks in Hormozgan province, located in southern Iran on the Gulf, as strikes between Tehran and Washington resumed.

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported that following the attack on Farur in Bandar Lengeh, an employee of the Iranian mobile phone company was killed while performing his duties, and two of his colleagues were injured.

US strikes on Iran

The US Army announced the completion of the third round of strikes against Iran on Sunday, noting that more than 140 military targets were hit, including missile sites, drones, naval capabilities, communications networks, and coastal surveillance sites.

The US Central Command confirmed striking more than 300 targets in Iran in this round, directed by US President Donald Trump, with the aim of undermining Iran's ability to attack sailors and commercial ships, according to Al Arabiya.

Strait of Hormuz

In the same context, Iran announced that no ship will pass through the Strait of Hormuz without a permit, according to Al Arabiya. This comes at a time when the US Central Command confirmed on Sunday that navigation is proceeding normally through the Strait of Hormuz.

The Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a post on social media platforms that 'the Strait of Hormuz is open to all ships seeking to legally transit this international waterway.'
