President Erdogan Receives Liberian Counterpart in Istanbul
With official ceremony at Vahdettin Mansion

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received his Liberian counterpart Joseph Nyuma Boakai in Istanbul.
According to an AA correspondent on Friday, President Erdogan welcomed Boakai with an official ceremony at Vahdettin Mansion in Istanbul.
After the welcoming ceremony, Erdogan and the visiting president moved to hold a bilateral meeting.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Turkish Presidential Directorate of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, and the Chief Advisor to the President for Security and Foreign Policy, Akif Çağatay Kılıç.
The Turkish Presidential Directorate of Communications stated in a statement that President Erdogan and his Liberian counterpart discussed bilateral relations and regional issues.
Erdogan pointed out the importance of continuing efforts to evaluate the potential of the trade volume between the two countries.
He affirmed that Turkey will work to enhance cooperation with Liberia in areas such as defense industries, security, education, and transportation.
Erdogan congratulated the Liberian president on his country obtaining a temporary seat on the United Nations Security Council.
