Saudi Arabia Condoles Algeria on Victims of Fire at Institution for Assisted Childhood
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the sincere condolences and deep sympathy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the sisterly People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, following the death and injury of a number of people due to a fire that broke out at the Institution for Assisted Childhood in the capital Algiers. In a statement, it expressed the Kingdom's solidarity with the sisterly Algerian Republic, government and people, in this painful incident, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the welcome of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the initiative announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan regarding the operation of regular commercial flights between Amman and Sana'a, which contributes to meeting the humanitarian needs of the brotherly Yemeni people and facilitating the movement of civilians.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified in a statement that the Kingdom welcomes the Yemeni government's approval of this initiative, as a positive step reflecting its keenness to facilitate procedures that serve Yemeni citizens and support efforts aimed at alleviating humanitarian suffering. The Kingdom calls on the Houthis to interact positively with this initiative instead of repeating their previous decisions that caused increased suffering for the brotherly Yemeni people, and to stop any escalatory practices or measures that would drag Yemen and its brotherly people into further suffering.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its support for all initiatives that contribute to achieving security and stability in Yemen, preserving its sovereignty, and fulfilling the aspirations of its brotherly people.
