Somalia declares three days of official mourning on the death of Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani
Mogadishu, July 13 (QNA) - The Federal Republic of Somalia today declared three days of official mourning for the great figure of the State of Qatar, the late His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The Somali Ministry of Information stated in a statement that the decision of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to declare three days of official mourning in the country on the death of the late His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani embodies the Somali leadership's appreciation for the high status enjoyed by the deceased, and in honor of his eventful career full of achievements and his solid contributions to supporting the Somali people, and reflects the depth and strength of the fraternal and historical relations that bind Somalia and Qatar and their two brotherly peoples.
The statement added that His Highness the Father Emir was one of the most prominent supporters of Somalia in various stages, and that his departure represents a great loss for the Arab and Islamic worlds.
