US President Donald Trump revealed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu requested a meeting at the White House, noting that the meeting could take place early next week.

According to Axios, Trump said his relationship with Netanyahu is very good, adding that the Israeli Prime Minister knows who the leader is?

For its part, Israel's Channel 15 reported that Trump asked Netanyahu not to take any steps that could explode the situation in Lebanon, in reference to Washington's efforts to maintain calm and prevent the region from slipping into a new military confrontation, in parallel with ongoing diplomatic moves regarding southern Lebanon.

On another front, Trump announced that the US and Iran have agreed to suspend talks between them for a week, due to the funeral ceremonies of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Trump's announcement of suspending talks with Iran for a week comes after media sources revealed that Pakistan will host a new round of negotiations between Washington and Tehran on July 11.
