Sparks fly as video shows tail of giant aircraft scraping runway at US airport
The tail of a Boeing 777-300ER cargo plane, operated by Kalitta Air, scraped the runway at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport on Sunday, causing sparks to fly during an attempted landing.
After executing a go-around maneuver, the aircraft landed safely.
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said it had opened an investigation into the incident.
