The Israeli army carried out a demolition operation, blowing up an entire neighborhood in the city of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon on Saturday.

The Israeli Channel 12 correspondent who published the video reported that the decision to destroy the neighborhood came after an Israeli soldier was seriously wounded in the same area on Thursday.

The video documents a massive explosion of the al-Dawra neighborhood in the city of Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon, which was leveled to the ground.

Israeli attacks on Lebanon continue almost daily, although their pace has relatively slowed recently.

The Israeli army said on Saturday that it killed a gunman in the Majdal Zoun area within the 'security zone' it controls in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon entered the war on March 2, after Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel, saying it was in response to the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in the first US and Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28.

Israel launched a massive bombing campaign and a ground offensive on Lebanon, while intensifying its calls to evacuate large areas in the south of the country.

A framework agreement signed on June 26 last year between Lebanon and Israel in Washington stipulates that the Lebanese army will reassert its authority in southern Lebanon, provided Hezbollah disarms, starting from 'pilot zones' from which the Israeli army withdraws.
