(CNN)— A video clip showing the official reception ceremony for UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed upon his arrival in Kuwait on Thursday has gone viral among social media activists.

The video clip was published by the official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) in a post on its X platform (formerly Twitter) account, showing the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, leading the reception for the UAE president.

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad discussed "brotherly relations and various aspects of cooperation between the two countries and joint efforts to develop them, especially in the economic development fields, to serve their mutual interests and bring goodness and prosperity to their peoples. The two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and topics of common interest, foremost of which are the developments in the Middle East region, stressing in this context the importance of working to establish the foundations of stability and lasting peace in the region for the benefit of all its peoples and the development of their countries."

The agency noted that the accompanying UAE delegation included "His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs for Special Affairs; His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the UAE; and a number of state officials."
