Viral video of a 'cartoon figure of Iran's Supreme Leader at Ali Khamenei's funeral'... What is its truth?
(CNN) -- A video clip spread on social media, claiming to show a cartoon figure of the new Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei at the funeral of his father Ali Khamenei, who was killed in a US-Israeli strike at the start of the war with Tehran.
The video garnered over 3 million views on various social media platforms, such as X, Facebook, and Instagram.
The circulating clip was accompanied by a misleading description: 'With a cartoon figure... Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba participates in the funeral ceremony of his father Khamenei.'

The video's circulation coincided with uncertainty about the whereabouts of the new Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, as the country held funeral ceremonies for his father Ali Khamenei.
Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public and has remained in hiding since the war began in late February, communicating with his supporters only through written statements published by Iranian media and attributed to him. He has never shown his face or spoken.
