Israeli army forces arrested more than 40 young Palestinians on Saturday during their ongoing raid on the town of Tel near Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, while 8 Palestinians were injured in a settler attack on the village of Fur'ata east of Qalqilya.

State radio 'Voice of Palestine' said that 'occupation forces arrested more than 40 youths during their ongoing raid on the town of Tel.'

It added that Israeli forces seized one of the houses and turned it into a field investigation center, and continue to carry out extensive raids on houses, while imposing a siege on the town from all directions.

For its part, Israeli army radio said that the army 'raided the home of the perpetrator of the Tel town operation and began engineering surveys in preparation for its demolition.'

The radio reported that Israeli forces interrogated dozens of Palestinians in the field and arrested some of them for further questioning.

In the context of the raid, local sources told Anadolu that the Israeli army uprooted hundreds of olive trees and leveled large areas of agricultural land in the town of Tel.

In a separate incident, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced in a statement that 8 Palestinians, including 6 by live bullets, were injured as a result of a settler attack on the village of Fur'ata east of Qalqilya, without providing further details.
